How does it work? How does it work?Firefighters Credit Co-operative Ltd now offers you the option to stop receiving paper statements, and view your statements online. You may even find that your historical statement information is already available for your viewing. It is important to note that online statements will not be available after a Membership has been closed. It is important to keep copies of your statements in a safe place; therefore we recommend that you please retain any statements that may be required. Note: Statement information will be provided on active accounts only. Closed accounts will not appear on statements beyond the date of closure. To receive your statements online you must provide a valid email address before you choose to stop receiving paper statements. If you have not already done so, simply fill in the registration form on our websites; a staff member will soon contact you via email to provide you with a one-time password. Each time a new statement becomes available online, we will send you an email. As a security precaution against internet fraud, the email will not contain any links to the actual statement, information relating to your accounts, the Firefighters Credit Co-operative website or to Internet Banking. Provided you choose email notification prior to the final date of your next statement cycle, the change will be effective immediately, meaning you will receive your next statement electronically. If you make the change to email notification on or after the final date of your statement cycle, the change will be effective from the following statement period. Viewing statements
To view your statement online, simply go to the Firefighters Credit Co-operative home page and select From the 'Statement' screen you can view statements for the previous periods, searching by statement month or by year. You can also print a statement in the same format as your old paper statement. Notification that your e-Statement is available for viewingEach time your statement becomes available for viewing online we will send you an email notification. If you wish to 'unsubscribe' from viewing your statements online and revert back to receiving paper statements, just simply call our Member Services Department. Notifications can only be sent to one email address, so please select carefully which address you wish to use for email notifications. View sample email notification. Reverting to paper statementsBy receiving your statements online you are helping both the credit union and the environment. We actively promote the use of this FREE service to members, however if you decide that you would like to return to receiving paper statements, then simply contact our Member Services staff and they will arrange this for you. Your paper statements will be sent to the mailing address you have provided and you will no longer receive email notifications. Please ensure that we have your current mailing address. Environmental benefitsPaper consumption has a significant environmental impact, not only in the waste it generates, but in the natural resources and energy consumed, and the air and water pollution created, by its manufacture, recycling and disposal. By choosing to receive your statements online you will be helping to protect our environment. In addition, you will be helping your credit union's continued support of the environment on behalf of our members. Notification failuresIt is important to keep your contact details, including email addresses, up-to-date. If we attempt to send you an email notification and the delivery fails up to three consecutive times, we will mark your email address as obsolete. This will result in your account reverting to paper statements. An email notification may fail due to the following issues:
To resume email notifications, you will need to update your email address. To do so, simply call our Member Services staff to update your details. Once we have updated your email address, you will get a confirmation email notification and the online statement function will be reset.
